Permission Denied

by Jacob 14. February 2007 17:31

Anyone else find it funny that "permissions" come in the two flavors of deny and allow? Can a deny really be termed a "permission"? Or is this another example of why English majors shouldn't become developers?

You could look at it as "permission" being the name of an on/off state, with "allow" and "deny" being the binary positions. Or you could tell yourself that you have way too much free time on your hands if this is something you expend your thinking time on.

(Hey, guess what? I'm reading _Mistborn_!)
